In February I posted an infographic, which I called the Road Warrior Travel Healthy Roadmap. This infographic reflected information from my book Travel Healthy: A Road Warrior’s Guide to Eating Healthy. It included statistics on health and business travel, questions to consider before ordering food, and links to take healthy eating action. My original objective with this infographic was to essentially summarize key parts of the book and give people an easy one-page way to think about how and why to eat healthy while traveling (while the infographic and the book are geared towards business travelers, the information, tools, and tips are really for anyone interested in and challenged with eating healthy or healthier).
I received a number of compliments on this roadmap infographic, with a request for a Part 2. By Part 2, I think people are looking for more information on each of the areas highlighted. There is only so much information that one can put on an 8.5 x 12 inch piece of physical or digital paper that is graphically and mentally engaging. Part 2 of the infographic is really the guidebook—Travel Healthy: A Road Warrior’s Guide to Eating Healthy—which was also a challenge to distill 15 years of experience into 100 graphically engaging pages.
However, I did start thinking about how I could simplify the infographic into more of a roadmap to set you on a path to eating healthy while traveling. So I came up with Welcome to a Road Warrior’s Guide to Eating Healthy version 3, which is more of a roadmap, with six basic steps to kickstart your journey:
- Get the book, which explains all.
- Change the word you use to describe what you should be eating.
- Always ask yourself before eating anything “is it worth the damage?”
- Know your health KPI—how do you measure your health? Is your health key performance indicator weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, antioxidant score, etc.?
- Plan ahead—when, where, how, and what to eat.
- Find nouri on the go!
I hope this simplifies things a bit. If you like these two roadmaps you will love the book!
The book is designed for busy business travelers and those who prefer to read short books that get to the point quickly. There are a series of tips and tools that are easy to use that will inspire you to think about food differently. While designed for business travelers, this book is for anyone struggling with or interested in eating healthy (especially when making your own meals is not a practical option). Are you:
Confused about what is considered healthy or unhealthy to eat?
Eating “healthy” but still having health issues?
Feeling hopeless about eating healthy while traveling for business?
Looking for an easy and practical guide to eating for optimum health and wellness?
Interested in a practical guidebook for your traveling employees?
If you answered yes to any of these questions this book is for you!
